Trip to Corvo

 • Our tour lasts approximately 7 hours and starts from the Cais das Poças arbor in Santa Cruz das Flores at 9am in a red semi-rigid boat with capacity for 30 people. We start the first few miles along the north-east coast of the island to visit the rock formations, caves, waterfalls and native flora as far as Ponta Delgada.

• Then we head to Corvo Island where we will cross one of the most mythical and surprising channels in the North Atlantic, where it will be just us and the ocean in complete harmony and fusion.

In addition, our cetacean sighting rate is around 90%, and if this is the case we will make a short stop to contemplate these animals, ending with a raw and respectful contact with the marine wildlife.

• On arrival in Corvo, an 8-person van with a local driver will take you to the Caldeirão crater at the top of the island (optional). This crater, with a perimeter of 3,400 meters and a depth of approximately 300 meters, creates a peculiar and unique landscape, making it one of the most emblematic sights in the Azores archipelago. 

On the way back to the village, we stop at the viewpoints with panoramic views of the village of Corvo and the island of Flores in the background. The tour then passes by the island’s bathing area, windmills and ends with a stop in the old town center. In the center you will take a walk through the typical narrow streets of Corvo, visit the island’s interpretation center, souvenir store and even have time to take a dip in the sea.

• Lunch is optional and the minimum time spent on the island is 5 hours. We return around 3pm.

• To best enjoy this day of adventure, we recommend practical, sporty and comfortable clothing, a hat and sun cream. Waterproofs are also recommended, as the Azores are known for their unexpected weather.
